The final project for an Interaction Design course I took in my sophomore year was to take
an existing app and improve it using Figma. I chose to renovate Gymshark's fitness app.
The goal of this project was to improve the usability of an app with a focus on interactivity.
I first reviewed the app to see what worked well and what could be improved, then studies
customer reviews to understand what my target user's grievances were. I used a UI Design
System to keep myself on track and improve work efficiency. Based on the information I
collected from User Research, I prototyped a new version of Gymshark in Figma.
My final submission received high marks from my professor. My biggest takeaway from this project was how much easier using a UI Design system made the process.
